IPBC 2009

Latest update

In an excellent turnout, over 370 delegates attended the second IP Business Congress (IPBC) held at the Four Seasons Hotel, Chicago from 21st to 23rd June 2009.

These included chief intellectual property officers (CIPOs) and senior representatives from IP-owning companies, law firms, consultancies, accountancy firms and other IP stakeholders from both the United States and internationally. The quality of both the sessions and the conversations on the fringe was of the highest order, as IP thought leaders offered their views on a broad spectrum of vital topics, including how to align IP with business strategy, how IP can be managed during the economic downturn and the rise of the role of the CIPO, among many others.

An extensive review of the event will be published in the next issue of Intellectual Asset Management magazine, organizer of the IPBC. In the meantime, you can read Chairman Joff Wild's blog summary of the event here.

The next IPBC will be held in Munich, Germany from 20th to 22nd June 2010. Further information will be posted online soon. If you would like to be added to the mailing list for this event please contact Alan Mowat at amowat@theipmediagroup.com.
